Anybody know what a “wampus cat” is?

Looks like a good stretch by Fowler, but maybe Monday they’ll rule he took his foot off the bag and Foley will go ballistic on him.

A wampus cat seems to be a mythical, cougar-like creature, according to wikipedia. A few high school teams around the country have that nickname.

In that first panel, Marty appears to have traded in his flask for a baby bottle. That one resembles the Playtex Nurser, which Marty probably uses so he doesn’t suck in too much air and end up with gas.

Someone needs to tell the artist that his first baseman is stretching with the wrong foot. His right foot is supposed to be on the bag. Not the left.
