Not just baby kangaroos, but all marsupial babies are called Joey. That could make for a huge, confusing reunion.

But when the ‘joeys’ grow up, they get more formal names such as ‘joseph’ or ‘Gerald’ or , if a girl, ‘Josephine’ or ‘Geraldine’.
I had a red kangaroo joey years ago, – he was christened ‘Red’.
