They didn’t realize that their artwork was being hijacked and replaced before it appeared in the newspapers? Okay, they have an alibi: “C’mon, Tracy, nobody reads the papers any more!”

I had suspected an editor at the Daily, and that’s still possible. But I suppose it could also be a more direct computer hack these days, even more likely to escape notice at either end (the Jumble puzzle team; the newspaper editorial staff; the hack would come between the transmission from the former and the reception by the latter)

Today’s Jumble Puzzle.

Good Monday morning everyone. Hmmm, it seems rather disrespectful for these two Geeks (sorry if I’ve offended any geeks out there, not my intent!) to refer to detective Tracy as “Tracy”. I don’t think they have either the authority or familiarity with him to do that. Oh and I wonder what Sam’s breath must smell like with all those sticks of death he keeps smoking.

Shall we assume that art forgeries are next on Jumbler’s to-do crime list?

Tarry (or anyone, for that matter), maybe I blinked, but what was the significance of the prime numbers on Jumbler’s glasses a few weeks back?

Sorry for the confusion morrow, I should have been clear! Please forgive me. Perhaps this will help!!!

I can see too that someone’s cracked into the server that they use to post these, and ‘jumbled’ these. It wouldn’t be that difficult for it seems corporations spend little on IT.

Maybe I’m becoming too obsessed, but can anyone make out what’s the big story on the front page the non-buyer of the fake Picasso is holding? I can only see the name of the newspaper: “Trib.”

“Chief Detective Tracy”, that is.
