“nothing but partisan wish lists that in actuality do little to nothing to cut spending, except in all the areas the republicans don’t like.”
I’m no fan of Ryan’s budget, principally because I think it’s unrealistic in it’s Medicare “reform” and it does nothing to cut defense. Add to that it’s the continual fantasy of cutting the rate of growth, not reducing actual spending.
Patty Murray did introduce a democratic budget and it’s equally spurious as all it does is present a wish list for new revenues and spending.
I think I’ll volunteer to lead a committee of non-partisan auditors and see how much waste and fraud can be found in the existing spending for defense and Medicare. Oh wait, that’s been done and they just ignored it, i.e. “The Waste Book.” Others have been done and are accessible in a quick search of “wasteful government spending.”
I incorectly quoted the cost of a voter ID in FL as being $54.That is what a drivers license costs. An ID for someone with an address is $25.For the homeless there is an additional fee of $6.25.
Here is that newspaper story about IDs for Florida homeless that I read in the printed paper..http://www.tampabay.com/news/advocates-for-homeless-want-to-make-it-easier-to-get-a-state-id/1277155
Did I say, or even imply that liberals do not in many cases do the same kind of evils that conservatives do? My answer was to HOWGOZIT stating that only liberals say these kind of things, and even an ultra conservative such as yourself must know that just is not true.Gerrymandering IS an evil committed against the voters of the US, regardless of which party is doing it. However, a little mathematical and logical reasoning should tell you that when the total vote for the Democrats in the US is more than one million more than the total vote for the Republicans in the House of Representatives, and then the Republicans still retain control of that body, then it is obviously the Republicans that are guilty of such gerrymandering to a far greater extent than the Democrats are. Or am I just being too simple and direct for you?
No assumptions needed. When you post “Of course liberals stop looking once they find something they “agree” with and then call it “fact.”” You must, of course, mean that conservatives such as yourself never do the same thing? All one has to do is to at least be somewhat objective when viewing the posts of the ultra conservatives on this site to come to the conclusion (again, no assumptions needed) that your “assumption” is just as incorrect as the more ultra liberal side of the political spectrum. I will admit however, that there are times when I do find it at least somewhat difficult to be objective when reading the posts of either extreme of the political spectrum. In fact, it really is difficult to believe that the more extreme people here even take a look at what they actually post before they post. And that is kind of sad, at least to me!!
