    @Mikeyj

Silly me. I buy nice stuff at Savers at affordable prices. If Flo’s clothes come from the rummage, she should have gotten the cheaper ones as her current get up cuts into the “liquid” assets^^She saved her Bingo money

I misspent a couple of years playing in darts team and, boy, were we useless. We were always at the foot of the league table. On particular member sticks in my mind. For some reason he would turn up wearing a three pies suit that was two sizes too big for him. He’d step up to the oche and throw dart number one. With a doleful occcchhhhh he shake his head, then hrow dart two. Another shake and Glaswegian sigh. Finally dart three went and the same thing would happen. He would then etrieve his darts. On from the ceiling, one from the floor and the third ftim someone’s hat. It was the same story every week but his brother, who was no better, was the team captain. Still, we did have fun.

Since Andy knew how it would go, you’d think he would have warned that poor bloke…

He certainly takes all the right precautions himself…

Gweedo was right about Flo winning once, but she soon regretted it…

Back in the day, even in the late 60’s when I lived over there, the pub was the center of social life. Very few working people had a “telly” and even if they did, the programs weren’t as varied or interesting, as today.Whether you drank or not – nobody cared if you were a tea-toteler – you went to your local for an evening of chat and fun. Or as the Irish say, you went for the craic !BTW With Passover beginning tonight, I’d like to be the first to wish all my Jewish friend :חג פסח שמח

Hey, Number Six, you hit the bulls-eye today! So did Mikeyj!(Too bad the Andy Capp strip today didn’t…….) Does anybody besides me think that a machine-gun dart thrower would be a very fun invention?

Not as sorry as I am, luv. The snow stopped late Saturday, but not the cold. Very sunny today (Sunday) and very cold too. I don’t mind saying I was in a wee funk, stuck in the cabin as I am. Watched the remainder of the episodes including the X-mas special and the Command Performance where the Queen came up in her car to the studio, met various people involved with the show and the actors themselves, then watched a live taping.

There were interview clips included with the episodes. My boyhood dreams of romancing the lovely Miss(?) Kendal have been dashed on the rocks as she has a son, who presented the Queen with flowers at the 1978 taping.

I remember an episode of “Red Dwarf” where the Holly computer [the man one] described a moon as “looks like Felicity Kendal’s bottom”.

‘Aunt’ called me yesterday (Sat.) morning. she was worn out from her hospital stay, but to say hello and that she is at home.See you Monday and good day.

I have Felicity Kendal on a CD where she’s introducing excerpts of classical music. I really love it. It came free with the newspaper… I think. I probably still have it somewhere under the rest of my music. I think my Mum likes her and watched the TV Programmes which she starred in.

‘Red Dwarf’ sounds very hilarious! I laughed at that quote. The clips with the Queen sound really great too.

Sorry for asking but what does ‘getting in a funk’ mean? You’ve used that a few times in your comments and I was meaning to ask you what it meant.

Really glad Eileen is doing well and I hope she continues to improve.

May you have a pleasant day.

Riiiiiiiight . . never seen; what never happened, never never happened. bop! er, -nudge_. she’s a Caterer; as in pulls-the-Strings; and there’s a reason He has but three speeds; sleep, eat, and wait for the Shoe to drop. I mashed this for the Westminster [& surrounding area] Games last Year , but it think it says something about Their mutual attraction.

zoomThe aim might be misguided off sometimes, but They’re really stuck on each Other; Andy’s hits on the Target come with Misses. In Andy’s case, a LOT more Misses; single and Otherwise. More Hits, too. and lots more hitting. and hitting-on, too. but . . . . . . .  ;  . . . . etc. make yer own ‘Andy is small’ jokes

One of my best friends just moved to Denver. He was the missionary who baptised me back in ‘03. Course he moved there from Utah, so the weather is no shock to him. Since his Mission he has served 3 tours in both sand boxes, 2 in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq, with the Marine Infantry. Dan is a good young man. I hope he does well in Denver.

@Linda DeanThank you for the good thoughts. I’ve been so busy the last couple of weeks that I almost forgot my own birthday. I have been reminded why children are best raised by the younger generation. I get healthy again I’ll have to go back to work to rest up.

Mikey J, Chalkie J, Six, Sandfan, Stagger Lee, and Buggerlugs, I love all you bring to the Club.
