Yes indeed. Displaced for a couple of years when I was a kid, when we’d come back to visit family here in PA we’d load up on butterscotch krimpets to take back with us.

I also remember someone on the Tonight Show back in the day telling a story of being stopped at the airport with a “suspicious” suitcase full of butterscotch krimpets. As I recall the krimpets didn’t make it past the unfortunate airport scrutiny as each cake was torn in two.

And in addition, some Krimpets are filled with wonderrrrrrful jelly…. or if you’re in juuuuust the right spot, you can find them with such wonderful “kreme” filling. Filling…… uh, excuse me, a minute, please……

Oh, and they also have chocolate with white icing and cream filling, too. Or strawberry iced. And sometimes, they’ll bring out a special themed kind @ certain times a year.

Perhaps the Queen could stir them to fight back with their own arsenal. Provided that they could “raise the dough”…..

Absolutely correct assessment of Tasty-cakes which are “so much fun to put in your tummy, Tasty-cake cake and pie.”

@masterskrainThey are in England, so it would be a .303 caliber. Unless, of course, they are using Martini Henrys; then it would be .450.

“Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a Tastycake.” Great, now I can’t get the jingle out of my head.

I don’t know why this strip amuses me so much, maybe it’s because it’s so basic.

I like the butterscotch bot but not the sponge part of it. I’ll stick with butterscotch ice cream.
