very true.by the time my grandfather when he came to America here. every bit of clothing he wore. it had been previously worn by his two older brothers before handed down to him.the only time as a teen that he ever had something that was not previously owned by some member of his family, was the abalone shell he had picked up off the beach in Vancouver in the 1880s.
