Slightly reminds me of heading home from Hilo, Big Island with a lay-over and flight change in Honolulu, Oahu Island. Had to book a new flight from Honolulu for the next day.

I think this stems back from the guess that was made that they were going to Peoria not Paris per the slip of the tongue.

When the family was ‘keeping’ the secret of Paris, didn’t Jan tell Joan that Wally was taking her to Peoria?

I’m kind of glad they don’t go to Paris. She wouldn’t enjoy it anyway. Paris is good for positive people and great for spontaneous people.

BTW, there’s a “New Paris” in Sheboygan County. It’s embedded in the city of Plymouth. I drove through it and went, “Whaaa?” It was pretty small beers. There’s also a Paris in Kenosha County, WI.
