    Sheesh…. I guess nobody ever yanked your pigtails or tripped you, or pulled out your chair too far and made you fall down….

    It’s the age-old conflict between childhood, when any affection is anathema, and the earliest stirrings of pre-adolescent hormonal confusion!

    The same struggle that engenders the 10-year-old’s deep distrust of emotionalso makes her afraid he’s a horrible social misfit just because he likes her!

    Plug-ugly? -Nay, lassie; he’s a full fine figure of manhood in the Agnesian Universe. His handsomeness just doesn’t make the translation properly to our limited viewpoint.-More to the point, it isn’t about what he deserves. It’s about what he wants. He wants to be a decent person who treats others agreeably. He has ever succeeded.
