MARY WORTH: Will she sell a copy of her book to him or loan/give him a copy?

    APT3G: How does he cope?

REX MORGAN: In the last panel June is more revealing than she was in her bathing suit in San Diego.

MARY WORTH: I would be interested to learn the title of Beth’s book. Many (most?) romance writers churn out book after book, and, just like in any genre, some authors make quite a bit of money, some not so much. Didn’t the erotic romance novel, “Fifty Shades of Gray,” make the best-seller lists?

Mary Worth – 2 days ago, Tom said “We look for love wherever we can”. I didn’t think he was looking for love. I thought he was keeping to himself, moping about his divorce.

Within the genre of romance novels, their are many sub-divisions. Some are published in hardback and are longer than the Harlequin type. Harlequin publishes both very erotic books and some that are less so. And there are Christian romance novels, including Amish ones, which one author referred to as “the thrill of the chaste”.

A commentor at the other site pointed out that what Mary says about how can love become a reality if we don’t have a vision, she’s really talking about someone else’s vision. We have to have our own vision and it should bear some relationship to our own reality. Then we have to go out and do something about it.

Rex June seems to be doing a strip-tease for the readers.Mary I seem to have a different perspective on Elinor’s problem. If her husband left her for another woman and with a small child to raise by herself, I can see how she would have turned bitter, especially in light of Beth’s comments yesterday.A lot of romantic fiction seems to be a polite euphemism for hard-core porn. There are some pages-long passages in Jean Auel’s “Earth’s Children” series that I cannot bring myself to read. Phantom Looks like the lioness won’t be joining the menagerie any time soon. Maybe she’ll be “out there” for him to call upon when needed.

Mary Worth: Elinor and Beth’s little to do doesn’t seem to have affected the conversation between Mary, Beth and Tom.

Phantom: Be a nice lion and leave without causing any trouble. What happens next?

Mark Trail: Continued next week, maybe the whole week if we’re lucky, or unlucky.
