We always used to fight over the race car. Nobody wanted to be the cannon.

Our family Monopoly game had a white wooden token from some other game and nobody knew how it got there, but it was the most popular…BTW, we did Free Parking cash, even though it’s not in the rules….

Talk among yourselves. Never had a Monopoly set. Did have clue, with its array of weapons….As i said yesterday, I voted for the ouster of the thimble, and I am not convinced that dropping the iron in flavor of a cat was at all wise….

The next token should have been a bust of J.R.R. Tolkien. Then we would have a Tolkien token.

Better still, how about a PB4S version of RISK! A world dominated by Rat could be a vast improvement!

My Monopoly tokens are: thimble, wheelbarrow, man on a rearing horse, top hat, car, iron, shoe and dog.The dog has one shortened foreleg and can’t stand up.I always fancied the shoe.

What tokens do you readers have?

Money under Free Parking is the reason most games last forever and never end… It’s the worst house rule ever.

“Snerk” seems to imply a subdued, snide kind of amusement that exhibits the superior feelings of the snerker and expresses schadenfreude (deriving pleasure from the misfortune of others). “Snerk” is also onomatopoeic, attempting to mimic the snorting sound of such a laugh.

Waaanh! From day one in my monopoly life I was the iron. I would iron the crease in the board whenever I stopped there. It’s a good thing I have a few irons to last me over the next years. The thimble is boring.

I grew up with a Parisian Monopoly set, and the tokens were simple wooden disks with numbers on them. I never did get the “Thimble”, etc.

We got 20,000F for passing Depart, and the most expensive property was the Champs-Elysees.

Monopoly came in for a lot of criticism because irons were “under-represented”. Sure, they got an iron. But it was only a token.

Am I the only one who feels like the last panel could be a big Nate strip if they weren’t monopoly tokens?Like if you change the words a bit it kind of goes with the theme I’ve seen sometimes where Nate: says something along the lines of “I’m such a handsome stud”Francis: “no you aren’t”Nate: “shut up geek boy”Chad: (asks innocent question)
