Well the nearest start system is 4.3 light years away, which is about 30 trillion miles. 37 million puts them from Mars a lifeless planet.Any intelligence that could build a spaceship can easily determine how long a solar year is and figure out what a light year for that species is.I just love analyzing things to death.
I remember a story in which the first contact with aliens came about by the earth getting a littering ticket for sending out Voyager without required permits
