from the President down to the lowest department head in Federal agencies, the FALSE claims to “Cuts” due to the Obama-proposed and Congressional voted-YES sequester, are deliberately chosen to try to anger the US Public, hoping to get Protests from taxpayers to Congress to switch from “Cuts” to “Tax Hikes”….-the DOJ that just released 2,000 criminal illegal aliens inside the USA, has been advertising for over 100 new jobs in the DOJ…..other agencies also have been seeking applications for “New Jobs” in government! At the same time they threaten to STOP SERVICES to the Public!-Is this Administration beyond Sanity? Over the Liberal Thought Cliff?
“Congress: you made this problem. You have the opportunity to fix the problem. It’s YOUR JOB. If you don’t want your job, good riddance; and no pension for you. If you want your paycheck, do your job.”
“Voters: It’s your job to ensure that Congress does the job it’s elected to do. This requires you to do your homework and determine whether it was smart to vote for the candidate that has your favorite letter after his/her name, or whether it’s smarter to vote for someone who will do his/her job. If they do not, it’s your job to vote that person out.”
So simple in theory. Why so difficult in practice?

Actual spending is RISING, each year, DEFICITS to the end of the 10-year spending plan.-No one is serious about ending wasteful programs that are automatically re-funded year after year. Head Start is proven useless above 3rd grade but it is now a US Sacred Cow to benefit union teachers….so a “cut” in a bad program is screamed at by Liberals who want fed $ keeping teachers employed, and never mind the negative results in producing DIS-educated students….like the New York el-hi grads who are rated 80% cannot read at college age!!!-There is NO AUSTERITY, and certainly nothing comparable to Greece’ reforms.-wbr, the Federal Spending is not responsible for paying for LOCAL parks or cops or firemen or teachers!
NPS major expense is personnel, thus cutting seasonal, or full time new hires is the place they CAN cut. Also all the cuts come from the remaining 7 months of the fiscal year, so are felt more harshly than if spread over a full year. Also Budgets for parks are already down 10% from three years ago, so the added 5% means 15% less.
Interesting the locals outside Yellowstone are bitching because there’s no money to plow the roads to allow access three weeks early, so OUTSIDE communities, who uniformly hate “government” are upset that their total dependency on government, namely National Parks, will be “hit” economically!
Seen these cuts before, going back to Nixon, then Reagan, and personnel are always the first cut, because contractors are always “secure” across any game board created by “conservatives”, who hate the idea of actually conserving natural resources for future generations. (The purpose of the National Park Service.)
