What’s up with Fargo winning all those awards? I mean it was good but, really?

Anything nominated for an Oscar is usually boring and drags on and on.

I never watch those awards shows. Never saw Fargo either.

Only Les Mis that I saw was on stage in Vegas in the 90s. I did NOT like that they compared US “homeless” to the poor during French Revolution (not comparable in my mind).

Argo! Well that show ticked off a lot of Canadians, because Affleck portrays the Americans as the heros, but it was mostly the work of the Canadians. As one critic put it though: “don’t get your history from the movies”.

@JoshYou used to be a decent sort, then you developed your alternate personalities and suddenly become annoying. Being so constantly negative is sad.

Les Mis – the movie – was as good as the reviews, but I was shocked it did well at the box office. More substantial than Cats, and even has an uplifting, positive perspective of Christianity. Missed Argo, wished I missed Fargo.
