Maybe it’s wishful thinking that Donna Lewis isn’t on the list as well, considering how much of an embarrassment Reply All is.

Always always always I look at a picture like “Brooklyn” and think to myself, “Where is that young lady now? If she’s alive, she would probably be around 80. What kind of life did she have? Did she keep that beautiful smile?” Inquiring minds want to know!

GoComics left Paige Braddock (Jane’s World) off the list, too.

I never knew anyone had banned the word “tornado.” Why not “front” or “isotherm”?

Hey Teresa! What do you call that thing?

A Horfishosaur? Dinoforse? Tyrannohorsus Carp? (or, better yet, in a nod to DSOTH, TyrannoHorace Carp).

That HHO bubble generator on the blog uses electrolysis to turn water (H2O) into hydrogen and oxygen gas. The hose pumps the gas into water with, at a guess, dishwater soap in it. The bubbles contain a mixture of hydrogen and oxgen, which is lighter than air. The mixture is also explosive, although it needs an ignition source to set it off (hence the butane torch).

Re: BUBBLES on the BlogLooks like the fellow got hold of an electrolytic converter to break down water into hydrogen and oxygen—probably with some soap to form the bubbles. So you have fuel (H) with an oxidizer (O) which only needs an ignition source (blowtorch) to make a nifty explosion.

About bubbles in Frog Blog: It looks like they are electrically splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen gasses to make the bubbles. When ignited the two gasses recombine back into water explosively.

    Re: PEOPLE vs. WINTER

Looks like the final score was WINTER 1 – PEOPLE 0 (the bull didn’t score either).

The Society for the Improvement of Frog Blog Captions wishes to point out that, while it may be subtle, THAT WAS A BAD IDEA at 2:30 might be a better caption.

While we’re at it, The Society for the Improvement of Frog Blog Captions also wishes to point out that, while it is not necessarily within our jurisdiction, we are not surprised that your favorite part was the the bull at 1:55, because that’s the sort of thing that a person “with the mindset of backwoods redneck trash” would find appealing.

P.S. I had another important point to make but I forgot what it was (I’ll be 60 in three days. I guess I’d better get to used to this sort of thing).

P.P.S. Oh. I just remembered what it was. What would a person who lives in the desert Southwest know about winter, anyway?

@Rotifer,Those of us in the desert SW are mostly from other parts originally. I lived over 50 years in Illinois and my lover still does because he does not choose to retire from his business. I hate the weather there in any season, but return because I love him.

@Old Wolf,I don’t have any from 1947 that I know, but I clipped this (1942) from a group photo with a bunch of neighbors and my 3 girl cousins. I’m the one in blue.

This is the link. They’re blowing up something called HHO gas, which is thought to be an alternative fuel made from water – h2o becomes HHO
