    Why do they thank us for something they don’t know we have. Also, if my call was so important to them, why don’t they answer it!!!

    Yes, it’s MUCH cheaper to have people hold and hold and hold than it would be to hire more employees to answer the calls. Besides, I think we’ve all realized by now that our calls are NOT that important to large companies – they’re an unwelcome nuisance. They don’t want our calls, just our payments.

    According to some survey, the average time someone will spend on hold before getting ticked enough to hang up is about 14 minutes. I’d be long gone long before 14 minutes passed.

    It’s a simple game they play with us. They screw around long enough for us to tire out and give up. That is what local offices are for. If there is a local office go in, sit down and tell them you are not going anywhere till your problem is handled. After you have driven to the city, delt with the traffic and finally found a parking space, you are ready for anything.
