As a Buffalo native, I can see why Toles is impatient with this! As someone who grew up in the sunny South, I get it. They don’t have the equipment, they don’t have skills in driving there, and they don’t have enough snowfall to justify acquiring either.
Actually, you are correct! Warmer air carries more moisture. This means that there will be less snow in total, but when it snows, it is likely to be heavier snowfalls. Colder air doesn’t carry much moisture. (Ask a Minnesotan: it doesn’t snow that much — it just doesn’t melt!)Increased energy in the atmosphere also means more chaotic weather patterns.So, yes, it IS global warming! BWAH-HA-HA!!!

The total snowfall today in the DC-Baltimore area: 0.2 inches- not 2 inches- 0.2 inches. Hardly the sign of a new ice age.
