I dunno, but I find Dana a byte of a tyrannt myself the way she does whatever she wants to anybody with absolutely no fear of reprisal.

If they were quick enough, would a mirror a la Perseus help?

As long as she doesn’t create a world full of nothing but Shelley Bermans, I won’t object too much.

But Dana is trying to establish some efficiency in an office full of ineptitude, and bad attitude. That would naturally be a frustrating task.

And accordingly if ya don’t like yerself it makes it harder to like others.

    Mark 12:30-31

    New International Version (NIV)

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[a] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] There is no commandment greater than these.”

Not necessarily. We’re often most irked by our own quirks. My grandfather was a great example of criticizing people (like grandkids) for doing the same things Grandma was always after him for doing.

Exactly what is the point of hyper-analyzing a comic? It’s purpose is to make you smile, not burst a blood vessel because the characters don’t act the way you think they should. It’s a comic, people. Lighten up and enjoy it.

After all, if the writers wanted to turn all the characters into aliens some day, then that’s their right. It’s their property, and they can do with it as they see fit. We are the audience, and I for one enjoy the strip without trying to fit it into my own personal view of life.

Stepping off the soap box, now…

Thanks for making me smile today, gentlemen. And I mean John and Scott.

Dana is a result of two things 1) my love for watching Bewitched as a kid 2) my awe of our old office manager who seemed to be able to do anything she was the most overworked and underpaid but still kept the place functioning. That’s kind of what Dana does. Yeah she could probably fix everybody and make them “Stepford Employees” but where would the fun be in that?
