A responsible clown would get a vasectomy.

Dill understands the difference between a job and a career. Why are clowns?

I’d love to fix a clown so that he’d never bother anyone ever again.

I feel Benis frustration. I actually had one of those squeaky-toy hammers as a prop for a play I was in (a 1930’s German Expressionist play, and no, we didn’t choose it, it was thrust upon us by the theatre faculty). One night things were going just fine (considering it was an Expressionist play) when the head flew off the hammer. The set carpenter glued it back on, but I had to back off on the hammering. It just wasn’t as much fun any more.

Give a Beni a hammer and everything looks like a clown. (Or something like that…)
