At all times, it is only the willfully close minded who praise unreservedly the blatherings of any political cartoonist.

If Barry would just agree to only keep his one big tax hike for the year and not insist on another, this whole “crisis” would be over.

Btw a 1.2% cut in future deficit spending is not a crisis. It’s called a baby step toward responsibility.

    Yo Clark Kent-

I’m sure someone will buy you a one way ticket to Russia. Then you will have a great time. PS: your latte is getting cold and your free cell phone is ringing.

Ms. Benson’s cartoon shows blindness and arrogance at work. Mr. Obama has not worked hard enough to protect the flock from wolves and talked about the wolves so much, no body believes in them. The congress has gone home to sleep and the American people watch helplessly as the leaders of our nation fail to lead, or to even follow good advice from business leaders.^The sequester, if targeted and effectively administered, could do good things for our nation, but this sledge hammer approach is going to do some harm even as it does some good. The question is yet to be answered, will the gain be worth the pain? It’s the classic “face or gut” option. Will we be punched in the face, or the stomach, and how hard will we be hit? And even if “I”, as an individual, do not get hit, I have to wonder how many of my friends and family will be.This is unnecessary and both parties and the executive and legislative branch should be ashamed of how they have failed to do their jobs on behalf of the American people.Respectfully,C.

Thanks, Lisa.On the subject of Obama’s idiotic orations, I found this editorial today….http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials/022813-646267-obama-labels-new-revenues-as-spending-cuts.htm……2/28/13 "Obama’s Sequester Math: $300 Billion in New Revenues Called “Spending Cuts”.."-printed 1 page….Obama’s “balanced math”….IBD discovered Obama’s “PLAN” which had been hidden to even the most experienced reporters in D.C. and this editorial details it…and the final sentence reads “After 4 years, Obama’s unseriousness as a president continues to surprise us.”-Obama’s Land of OZ….up is down, new taxes are “spending” and “spending is investment” and deficits/debt are of no concern!

“At this point, it is only the willfully ignorant who ignore the effects of sequestration on the American public and economy and concentrate only on bad-mouthing Obama.” (quote of DrCanuck)-sequestration was voted by Ds and Rs…a 2.2% “cut” of a scheduled BUDGET INCREASE of double-digits.-Obama’s “bad mouth” is controlled by no one except Obama;he has lied, lied, lied….beginning in the 2007-2008 campaign, and lies since being sworn in to uphold US Law and the Consitution, continuous lies.-Even Liberals like Journalist’s hero, Bob Woodward, and others, are finally beginning to notice the Obama lies.-It is Truthful to report a president’s lies. And to report lies by politicians like HR Representative Maxine Walters….“sequester will kill 170 million jobs” (Labor Dept. reports never counted more than 150 million jobs in the USA)

“A work of fiction:Obama: “Ok, let’s work together to solve America’s problems.”

Wasn’t it Mitt Romney that said that the Keystone Pipeline was worth millions of American jobs?

Wasn’t it John Boehner who had the laser-like focus on job creation?

All politicians say things that sound good.

Facta, non verba. Deeds, not words.

And no one is doing any deeds.

“It’s easy to tell a Democrat from a Republican. The Republicans are the party of bad ideas. The Democrats are the party of no ideas.” —Lewis Black

Agreed. To be fair, the lack of effort to work together is nowhere close to being one-sided. It’s good to discern the causes of your problems; this can make them easier to solve. On the other hand, it can degenerate into name-calling and blame. Obama does it, Boehner does it, Reid does it, McConnell does it, and almost all posters to GoComics Editorial Cartoons do it. As do most of the people I talk to….

This is unproductive, and that is one thing we cannot afford. I am reminded of the statement that when you are up to your ass in alligators, it’s hard to remember that your primary objective was to drain the swamp.

    Sorry I misinterpreted.
