Go Sequester!! Cutting a drop from a bucket won’t make any difference. No one is going to lose their job over this, folks.

The govt is hiring like crazy, but people are being released from jail because of the sequester? Yet another no common sense approach from the white house.

Excellent cartoon, Varvel! As Rush has pointed out all 3 hours today, BY LAW the President is in charge of Sequester cuts, and can change them from “across the board” decisions in each department, to specific choices of lesser priority and hopefully, some of the WASTE AND ABUSE even Obama has talked about!-what a Hyp-o-crite these Democrats are…even some GOP……fazed and confused by the MEDIA HYPE……have echoed the false claims of a 1.2% cut in the FY 2013 spending plans being able to harm the economy and stop federal, state and local VITAL services! egad.

“Government” jobs, at all levels have gone DOWN in the last four years. Defense contractors are whining very loudly about cuts from “sequester”. While that “3%” sounds minimal, the way sequester works over time equals a 17% cut, OR MORE, in many programs.

Yes, we need to cut some wasteful programs, most prominently, and expensive, the F-35 “junkmobile”. But, income MUST increase and that 3-4% rise in the maximum tax rate, AND cuts in “deductions” is the real key. Minor modification to Medicare and Social Security will carry them past the 2035 date when the SURPLUS is depleted, and further cuts will be needed due to the impact of “baby boomers”.

but, the biggest “but” is getting Boehner and his boys and girls off THEIRS, and make THEM do the job the Constitution puts on THE HOUSE, not the Senate, NOR the Executive branch. Gee, who IS the Speaker of the House and majority leader?

“Sequestration” actually goes back to 85 and the “Gramm Rudmann Hollings Act”, and it’s always been the Republicans out to invoke it to avoid any action as nobody really thinks “across the board” is a smart way to cut, but nobody will cut their sacred cows either.

So, if it’s inconsequential, why are you fighting so hard to make it happen? And if it’s not, why are you insisting that it is?

Are you purposely lying, or just too dumb to figure out a party line that makes no sense?
