Could be a lib on the right. I would think that it’s a Conservative though, considering the libs would never translate what they are saying so that the low-informed voters would know what they’re actually saying…
As a liberal, I will explain this cartoon to you. The Democrat is the one on the left. The conservative commentator is translating on the right. These are iconic locations. But although the humor is based on a classic right-wing view of what Democrats espouse, I guess the joke isn’t all that obvious after all.
Varvel has done it again—-nailed the Left versus Right issues in D.C.-many speechmakers are provided with a Signer for the deaf; this is an excellent idea to provide an Interpreter for Poly-Speech which is the MO for pols pulling the wool over the eyes of voters outside the Beltway. (Voters inside are goners already, IMO)-Varvel is correct….Obama’s “balanced approach” means “tax hikes and new taxes” and his version is far, far from true balance. “Investments” is code for “federal OVER-spending”.Democrats always demand the GOP “compromise” which does mean abandoning principles long held by that party=a smaller federal government, the lowest possible tax rates, and obedience to rules: an annual budget, on time. This rule is Law that Democrats think they are “above”….being the long-time scoff-law political party that they are historically.
insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting a diffrent results [ ex electing the same bunch to congress ] TERM LIMITS PLEASE notice congress didnt sequester thier budget
Why do Republicans say a 3% increase in maximum tax rate on the highest incomes (usually NOT “earned” income, but dividends they don’t “work” for) is a disaster, while a 3% cut from sequestration, which for many agencies is actually 17%, is no problem??
Now why does this remind me of that SNL skit where both NY & NJ governors had sign language interpreters that signed the same thing differently? (One of the few skits I actually laughed at. I tend to grin at most of what that troupe does.)
