    everybody seems to do pledge drives this time of year (of course the girl scouts could do their sales every quarter like PBS and public radio)

    @ellisaana……..

    from yesterday, my grand daughter is a girl scout and they sat at the local Lowes, Walmart and grocery every single saturday in the cold and sold cookies. They are a new troop from a very small town (less than 1000 folks) and they managed to sell 2600 boxes of cookies. I guess where and when and for how much they can sell for depends on the part of the country. We live in Texas.

    You must mean, “bad” as in unhealthy, evil. On the plus side, they come in those convenient, single-serving packs.

    Now they are advertizing on network T.V.!!!! Guess the door to door thing is getting too dangerous or the “girls” are too lazy? Never bought any. Iv’e tried them but, don’t like stale cookies.
