While Baden-Powell was a military man, Scouting was NEVER about military training.
Those so-called “secret files” were not disclosed to protect any in there who might have been falsely accused. This was before everyone from 6 mos – 100 years old had the internet at their fingertips.

Tom Lehrer said it best. “Be prepared, that’s the Boys Scouts marching song. Be prepared for anything that comes along, If you come across a girl scout, dont be nervous, dont be scared, be prepared.”
