At one thrift shop I volunteer at, had some (approx.) 20-year-old baseball cards donated that had bubble gum in plastic wrap. After trying the gum myself, it crumbled in my mouth and tasted awful. Yuck.
Could never understand the fascination with baseball cards, I preferred the movie stars on the lids of ice cream cups.
The first baseball cards came with cigarettes and tobacco products.
