I thought I was the only one who called them shower caps. One of our favorite restaurants used to use them (one of the waiters called them lemon condoms). That was before the local health department had a cow over them, although for the life of me I have no idea what their beef was. Of course, these are the same people who want your meat cooked to the point where all the flavor is gone and it’s drier than dust.

The “shower caps” also keep the seeds out of your drink or off your food.
