The sequester was Obama’s idea the same way that paying ransom money to kidnappers is the victim’s idea. Paul Ryan took full credit for the idea at the time, you can look it up. But what REALLY matters is that both the Democrats and the president have proposals to avoid the sequester, and the GOP has gone on vacation without saying what they would do. Gee, were you all aware that the “Prez” actually put forth the idea of the sequester? Yes, it was HIS idea. Are you all aware that even with the cuts, the 2013 budget would still be bigger than the 2012 budget? Actually there ISN’T a budget, because congress hasn’t done it’s job in something like 5 yrs. Yes, the media and obama make it seem like it’s all doom and gloom, but really, the master spender in chief needs to be cut off and apparently this might do the trick.
You must stop comparing government budgets with household budget because it’s nothing more than comparing apples with oranges. Governments can increase taxes to raise money. Householders can’t.
