It’s just an internet meme. It’s supposed to represent how a cat would say “I can have”.

Check out Cheezburger.com – the site was created around a picture of a cat captioned with “I can has cheezburger”. “LOLSpeak”, as it is now known, is a variation on “Engrish” – originally created by using a translator program to translate English to Japanese, and then back to English, which would change up the syntax of the sentence. It was further enhanced by using purposeful misspellings of the words, and became LOLSpeak. Thought you might appreciate a slightly more academic history of the linguistics behind it.

Cheezburger also has about 50 other sites, which they keep changing.Try “There I Fixed It” “School of Fail” “Poorly Dressed” and news from “The Daily What.”

It’s for fun! If you don’t like it, don’t go to that website where the cat asks: “I can has cheezburger?” He’s hungry, it’s cute and I check in once a week.
