The sequester was proposed as a possible ransom when the Republicans had a gun to the economy’s head, were eager to pull the trigger, but could not articulate any specific demands. It was not Obama’s desire to have a sequester. He wanted to not have America go down in flames. It was an escape valve he thought he could live with. It was the Republicans who designed and implemented it, and voted for it overwhelmingly, because of their basic inability to actually govern by negotiating budgets and laws. The “it was Obama’s idea” blame game is about as credible as the “cover up” in Benghazi.
Asteroids and meteorites are a threat, however,The US Capital building is being destroyed from the inside out by both parties. The foundation upon which it was built weakens as the foundation cracks under the weight of hubris and arrogance. Here is how the House and Senate voted on the sequester. Note that the House Republicans voted nearly 3:1 for it. Of course, that fact won’t stop them from blaming it on Obama:*House vote, July 31, 2011Dem: 95 YEA/95 NAY/3 AbstentionsRep: 174 YEA/66 NAY*Senate vote, Aug 1, 2011Dem: 45 YEA/6 NAYRep: 28 YEA/19 NAYInd: 1 YEA/1 NAY

Dittos, Barry has been trying to destroy this country since he was sent back to Hawaii by mummy from Jakarta and got hooked up with his Commie mentor, Frank Marshall Davis. Then he went to Occidental College and hung with the Proggies there. Then off to Harvard, and more Proggies. The nut does fall very far from the tree.
Barry is letting Bernanke dump $88B a month into the system to make it look like things are good. This whole thing is about 1/2 of that with the increase in baseline spending, not any real cuts. I hear not one making this comparison.

Rember, the sequester was Obama’s idea during the last tax hike proposal.

Funny how CNN and others are not reporting that little fact.
