I gave a toilet paper roll pencil holder to my mom for Mother’s Day once.
She threw it away and said I could do better.
That didn’t bother me much. I was used to her put-downs for the past 48 years.

My girl friend teaches pre-school and she is constantly creating crafts projects using toilet paper and paper towel rolls, including pencil holders. So cut Bucky some slack on this one as he is obviously onto something, only it’s not so original as he thinks.

I think I recall making toilet paper roll pencil holders when I was a kid. Glue on a bottom, give it a hideous paint job, give it to dad to put on his desk… yep arts & crafts!

This has been one of my top ten “Get Fuzzy” strips since the first time it ran. If the arc runs 5 more times, I think it’ll still be, and, each time the day arrives, I will have been happy to have had to sit through the ever more tortuous weeks of set-up.
