women’s packing – how much is too much! What about shopping in Paris Joan? Or did Wally promise only a ride to Paris and back (no shopping considered). I think the airlines in general are darned inconsiderate – they should give more leeway to women’s luggage. It should be a by default.

Joan obviously doesn’t know the regulations about how much luggage can be stowed on aircraft nowadays.

Why would she know the regs? When was the last time she flew? And she never reads the paper, just romance novels it appears, and only in the summer (when the kids will even LET her read!)

My husband travels more than I do, yet when we go on a 2-3 week trip, I pack less.

I learned yrs ago that 1 great outfit, 1 pair jeans (extra) and 3 shirts along with the socks, and underclothes is PLENTY for a week away (yes I’m female). Most hotels have either laundry room or laundry service nearby. Now the secret a family member told me is to pack one of your smaller suit cases and put it in the larger one to check as you always buy more once you get somewhere (tuck the shoes in the areas between the two cases).

my daughter packs 2 full large suitcases for a long weekend. I can do a week in a carry on case. Just have to learn how to consolidate and remember that you can do laundry.

Joan, you may have to rethink the packing procedure, and ditch one or two bags.

I always end up with more stuff than my wife. But, you know, women’s cloths are usually made from much lighter fabrics than men’s. So she can actually pack more in a bag than I can.

Remember that they really don’t like American tourists in Paris so wear a Canadian logo somewhere !

I packed 7 days in 1 carry-on to go to Taiwan. You just need to learn how to pack it right.

Too much? For some thats too little….is she prepared jn case the preisdent of France invites her for dinner?

Ugh, she sounds like my husband, and I sound like Wally. Every time we go anywhere it’s like we’re moving for good, he brings his whole wardrobe, which is enormous.
