The PzKpfw IV variant used during the desert campaign had a combat range of 200km on roads. Kurt’s commander,however, would have been limited by the cross-country range of 130km. Considering desert conditions,that range could have been further reduced.Not a very good planner,who condemned himself to an ugly death unless he knew of a fuel stop/convenience store somewhere along the way.
