At first glance, I thought Bobby had fired up an airball in that second panel. Then I figured the ball has gone through the basket and net, in which case Bobby is holding the pose. He must think he’s Michael Jordan.

“We all know what’s at stake.” He better not be talking about the league title and the playdowns, they’ve lost way too many games. They probably could have won the league had they had any actual home games this year.

Oakwood player on bench in P3 is giving the ole MoonPie the stinkeye. Marty might be the one run out of the O’wood gym.

@chip hiltonI don’t get it either. Maybe Bobby’s holding a pose, but why would the defender be pretending to guard him still after the ball is through the net? They can’t be getting any rebounds that way.

Setting us up for the last game loss & the season over. But it proves they can do if they are motivated.

And once again on the road. Playing every game away sure does wonders for team morale.

P1- how come we haven’t heard from the Mongolian transfer student before today?

P1- Gil was apparently missing for much of this story line recovering from his “life style lift” judging from his chiseled profile. The lantern jaw looks tight!

BTW, the way that Oakwood player is looking at Moon in P3, you know he is one of the geniuses whose whole life is at stake over this game, he probably dreams of a life as a high school radio sports broadcaster. Moon is living the dream.

@BigMike – you’re half right in that it is the perfect setup for a season ending loss (what can you expect with no home games) next week at Goshen. All these past 4 weeks have proved is how desperate these writers are and how lemming-like we’ve all become, hanging on waiting for it to get better. That’s what 24 years of Thorpism can do to your mind.

I think what’s at stake is their own gym … if they can pull it together and win a few games, Milford will quit renting it out to the women’s garden club auxilliary and let them use it for sports again.
