FUNKY W: @marvee – I think Les is referring Dicken’s travelogue “American Notes,” (Chapt. 4). According to my Google sources, Dicken’s trip to North America also inspired parts of “Martin Chuzzlewit.” JUDGE PARKER: @david – I agree (a lot of characters to keep straight). But I think Funky W. has the most characters of any serial strip I read. I frequently have to ask other commenters for help on keeping the FW characters straight.MARK TRAIL: A nice beach scene in panel 2.

@Arye: I don’t think that Melissa is hardening her heart. What she is saying is that there is no free ride. That Junior and the girls are going to have to work for it or else.
Prince Valiant: I think that Roger will try to ambush Val but will not succeed and will be made to pay for his actions.

It has to be much later than just a year. After all a real pregnancy lasts 9 months and we’ve been on this one week-end since September.
