I also never tried jello shots of any kind. Back in the 70s we did plenty of tequila shots (with salt on the body) and a wedge of fresh lime). That reminds me, time to go squeese myself some lime to mix with filtered water and Splenda. Diet is working fine – herbal teas in the evening (lots of it).

I enjoyed the Brel songs (and had them once on tape). Don’t remember if it was Beta or VHS (have had too many huge collections). Even now I have saved SO MUCH to DVDs that I have to sort them once in a while (and should throw out some that I’ll never rewatch – like seasons of “Sex in the City”. I LOVE having all seasons of Proj. Runway (since it was on Bravo), Design Star, Top Chef and Food Network Star and so many others (anything on food, clothes or inter decor).

I’m making a big batch but in case any of you want to try it at home, I’m including an abbreviated version here that will serve 4 people:

1/4 cup butter, melted 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 teaspoon lemon pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/4 cups Italian-style salad dressing 4 (4 ounce) fillets red drum

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).In a medium saucepan, melt the butter on low heat; cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the cayenne pepper, black pepper, lemon pepper, garlic powder and salt. Set aside.Dip the filets into the melted butter, then coat with the seasoning mixture.In a large skillet over high heat, sear fish on each side for 2 minutes or until slightly charred.Place in a 11×7 inch baking dish and pour the Italian dressing onto each filet. Cover baking dish and bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes or until flaky and tender.Kitchen-Friendly ViewPREP5 minsCOOK30 minsREADY IN35 mins

No fish yet in my diet. I had a good breakfast (4 large cloves of garlic sauteed in smear of olive oil, then the egg white with a pinch of salt and my spice mix, chopped pepper and 6 grape tomatoes) 2 leaves of romaine w/vin. on the side and a glass of V8. BP was 150/75 w 77p when I got up. Weight workout next after vitamins.

I hope Stel is feeling better and will be checking in soon.

My spice mix (yummy) is equal parts cayenne, chinese ginger and tumeric (stirred together and kept on stovetop next to my salt dish). Gives color as well as flavor to the omelet and is great in the low sod. V8 too.

I am overwhelmed by all the get well wishes and messages that you all left during the past few days! I never actually thought that it would be as rough as it was, and I fully expected to return to normal activity the day after the surgery (Wed.) and I wouldn’t miss a beat! Boy, was I wrong!!!

@Stel (“reply” button not working right now),Glad to hear that you’re back and doing better. I am back to doing my weight routines every other day (but as a new vegetarian I sometime use a weight down 1 from the ones I usually did). I prefer to do the same reps with lighter weights as body dictates.

Hazardous waste ;-P I was thinking of that when I handed samples to the UPS guy last week (have never done before) LOL!

Of course, Stel! I chose that card and took the logo off the face because it fits you, and I must have been typing when you sent that last. ;-D
