good morning and happy thursday locos. Today Israel has Ta’anit Esther (Fast of Esther). Hope everyone ate enough at last night’s BBQ. This is usually held on the eve before Purim, but due to the day it falls on, it’s been moved back to Thursday. While I’m a little rusty on the story of Esther, I remember Purim is one of the fun holidays to celebrate – but more on that Sunday. While there’s no partying today, tomorrow will bring another celebration.

I could never complain about our cafeteria food, especially at Sacred Heart. It was always good. A big treat for us kids was when they held the annual bazaar in the cafeteria. Then the lunch lady would bring us our brown bag lunches on a cart, going from class to class. As a kid, we thought that was so COOL!

    Good morning Locos!

No party today? Oh, that’s alright, Akenta. I need a day to rest up from yesterday’s party. :-D

I look forward to you telling us about Purim on Sunday.

Hola Locos! Baldo is using food to paint, so that’s like fasting, isn’t it?

Purim is the day the Israelis remember how Queen Esther saved her people by fasting and praying. It is also a day of reconciliation, so let’s all kiss and make-up.Well, let’s forgive one another at any rate.
