The cartoon, on its face, is funny. Mayor Bloomberg might even approve. The use of drones overseas without proper oversight is not funny. I hope hearings will result in drone strikes being held to a more stringent standard. Collateral damage should not be “acceptable”. The use of drones as a ‘causal’ method of watching/spying Americans on US soil is much more offensive to me. I can understand using drones for search and rescue operations, or in the case of the California man who is targeting police officers. I can not accept their use as a way to surreptitiously spy/investigate Americans who are just going about their daily business in hopes of finding an infraction.
