Nabuquduriuzhur: There is no oral tradition in my family from that period. Like many, I had ancestors and once- and twice- removed fore-bearers on both sides in that war, twice and possibly thrice, they were on both sides in the same battle. To keep peace, the subject was never discussed until my generation..In the 1990s, my father suddenly realized that he was born closer that war than to the present. A few years ago, I thought of that for no particular reason – and realized so was I.

Perhaps a better title would be “Gone With the Rewind”?
