Remember the take-off on “Wild Thing” someone recorded in 1968, imitating the voice of Bobby Kennedy? The record was pulled from the market when Bobby was tragically assassinated that year.
Somewhere in my ancient 33 RPM record collection I still have it. I think that the title was called “The First Family.”
Was it Vaughn Meader who was the impersonator? oops, After checking with Wikipedia, I see that he impersonated JFK. Now I dont know about Bobby after all.
I drove by his home in nearby McLean, VA on my way to rock and roll band practice many times.
I admired Bobby Kennedy and his politics but when In the mid 2000’s when I met his grown children and grandchildren, at my store in McLean, VA, they were annoying and self important.
