Smack him with that, Toad, and it will be enough to get him off Mole, and after you! That’s okay though, because before he can get there, he’s got Tracy and Lee to contend with now!

OH yeah, also picked up “The Best of The Dick Tracy Show” DVD at Wal Mart for a whopping 96-cents today. It’s the animated series and runs around 80-minutes. Going to watch it tomorrow. Says it features B.B. Eyes, Flattop, The Brow, Mumbles and (TA DAAAAA) The Mole. Haven’t watched these oldies in a very long time but since it’s been mentioned here before I decided hey, why not?

Aren’t you all gonna feel silly when it turns out Tawara was the killer, and Sweatbox was making him come clean.

The Dick Tracy Show, you say? With such characters as Joe Jitsu and Go Go Gomez? I’m surprised They didn’t include an indian caled something like “Running Bear” or some such.

    Still, it does sound interesting.

The victor is determined, as anyone can seeWhoever lands what punches, little Toad has been set free.Sweat Box he is fit and strong; he’s getting in some licksAs for cruel, vile plans for Toad, Mole has declared, “Nix!”Toad she watches with dismay, yet what’s that in her pocket?A sphere becomes a weapon: precision launched it is a rocket.Tracy and Lee arrive in time to mop up the sweaty messMighty Mole has rescued Toad, now Sweat Box must confess.A man who’d harm a little child must be locked in prisonMay those who welcome him to the joint be a terrifying vision.

Tracy’s SWAT training will come into play and he will shoot Toad for pulling something out of her pocket. Then realizing his mistake he will plant the gun on Mole and apologize to Sweatbox because Sweats owns the mayor.

STEEEEEEERIKE ONE! Toad’s gonna bean ol’ Sweaty in the bean! Daze him just enough for Lee and Tracy to apprehend him!!!! I’m thinking Toad is gonna be the next member of the Crime Stoppers Club, and Mole is gonna be the next coach of the softball team after Sweaty goes to jail!

Good Morning and Long Time No See, Detectives!Maybe if Toad hits the right spot on Sweatbox’s head, it’ll be where his brain controls his glands and he’ll stop perspiring so much!

@ Ray Toler from yesterday. Thanks for the explanation about the inking styles. I must have misunderstood – I thought Shelley did all the inking. Sunday’s page credits her with inking, in the credit box they always put in the corner of one panel.(Or, at least, it did. Recently, it just has her name, not what she does.)You are entirely correct, style is a matter of personal preference. I happen to like the fluid lines better, because they remind me of Gould’s best work. But everybody on this team has tons of talent, that’s for sure.

kids can launch a softball at around 35 – 40 mph, if it hits its mark it can really do some damage. if it tags him in the back of the head … he will go down .. and with a little luck DT & Lee will put a couple of bullets in his sweaty head, tie him to the back of the squad car and drag him back to town!

    thanks BT

Watched half of the disc last night and Newenglandah is exactly right. Stereotype city. I did enjoy the voice acting and portrayal of the villains but it seemed to be a slap in the face to the ancestry of the good guys. It was still worth paying less than a buck for the quick history lesson and to watch, once. If I were still teaching, I would probably use this as a class discussion starter.

……..of course, in real life you wouldn’t send a ball winging at someone’s head with both so close together and moving around….plus Tracy would’ve fired a warning shot by now…..plus a guy as old as Sweatbox would never be able to put up a fight like that against Mole (remember, he held his own against a champion pro wrestler a short while back) but hey, it’s a comic strip, right? And markedly more light-hearted than in it’s earlier days, of course!

REPEAT Post for Tarry Plaguer RE Molene and Jonny Scorn (1971) It’s available in a used book with several others for less than $5 – in Used Book Stores. Great BUY . . .SYDNEY PHILLIPS said, 4 days ago-———————————————————————————————————————-

    @Tarry Plaguer

“The story of Molene does give me some questions though. What about her parents? Are they still alive? I haven’t read her story, so I don’t know the back story, does anyone else know?” -———————————————————————————The Mole was her grand-father. Her parents never appeared. You can get the whole thing in most second hand book stores :

“**DICK TRACY’S Fiendish Foes**” (St. Martins)

(Stories selected by Collins and Locher – A 60th Anniversary Celebration)

Other stories there – are :1) Entire earlier year of 1956 **

Contains : Lizz Origin, Joe Period, Nothing Yonson, Flattop Jr, Littke Spec and Ivy.

    2) The final half of Miss Egghead

Followed by (3 tales by Max Collins)3) The Cloning of Mumbles (1979)4) The Cryonic Man (1983)5) The Wax Museum – Putty Puss (1969)

I’d think $3 to $4 at most, and well worth the money
