Marty used many celebrity names in her panel/strip including Peter Fonda, Anthony Quinn, Steve Mcqueen, Cary Grant, Sophia Loren and Paul Newman many times.

Hi Jeepers Creepers. As a Chronicle guy you probably remember Herb Cain. Marty was a great friend of Mr Cain for years and he used to reference her in his column from time to time. The good ole days!
