We need more humane ways to control deer population, even if it is a cash cow for rural areas with few opportunities. We took away the natural predators that kept the numbers down and the herd healthy, like white blood cells, eating any diseased animal before the herd is infected.
Ima, far more people are killed by hitting cows, deer don’t usually do that much damage, but don’t try elk.
Hunting is a legitimate way to help control wildlife populations, and yes, this liberal has hunted for many decades. I also spent decades managing, or working in agencies that managed habitat for wildlife (the states actually manage the critters).
Of course, I’ve also cared for folks severely injured when they messed with deer, like a compound fracture when a gal’s leg was fractured in seven places by a deer she was “caring for”. Folks CAN be licensed to care for damaged animals, suspect this case wasn’t one of those folks.

Freedom? To do what, kill deer? Is that really freedom or just blood lust?

Shouldn’t Elmer have an AR? It’s guaranteed in the Constitution!

First time I’ve seen Gary do a cartoon that made him feel he should apologize to Looney Tunes.
Most of his stuff is designed to flatter them.
