It’s the Daddy that pays the dowry to the groom.

Rufus doesn’t know that.

In Middle eastern countries, the groom pays the “bashlik” to the bride’s family. When I was in Turkey, someone asked me what the bashlik (actually, spelled “baslik”) was in the US. When I told him there wasn’t any, he asked how many hours did it take to travel by bus to the US.

Seriously, there goes Rufus’ inheritance.

Ok, this is getting really weird.

Please let me know when the story line changes from this absurdity!

Becky, you can do better.

This is where we are headed, one state at a time. Becky can be a Boy Scout leader too I guess.

Joel should just be happy for the couple, and not thinking of how he can profit from the situation.

Joel’s asking for the “bride price” for Becky’s hand . . . err . . . hoof, not a dowry. He’d be paying Rufus the “dowry” for Becky.

I think I’ll just skip GA till this idiotic story line is over with.

Joel does have rightful claim to the first dance with Becky.

I love having Joel and Rufus be the focus. I laugh and grin and enjoy the comic so much during those times. Thank you! This is wonderful!

What is scary is it seems that Becky like the idea. Not sure what that means.
