I read that AAA says that registering automobiles is the first step towards confiscating your car.“These undue burdens are not only infringing on our rights as automobile owners, but they create a slippery slope to complete confiscation of our vehicles by a tyrannical government. We’ve been slowly sliding down this slope since 1757, when the first speed limit was set in Boston for wagons, horses, and carriages at a dictatorial ‘walking pace’. Cars don’t drive fast by themselves, people do!”
I believe that’s SOUND suppressors, not flash suppressors, but agree the “accessories” that “look neat” aren’t the real threat from a semi-auto with oversized magazine capacity.
The bipod and mount on my “varmint” rifle also makes it potentially a LOT more dangerous than a bayonet mount. Hate seeing them leave in silly “cosmetics” in the restrictions.

It’s all semantics. After all, DHS calls them ‘personal defense weapons’.
