Sad, but scary, since we have no clue about this guy or his advisers. We’re relying on 2nd,3rd and 4th hand reports.

I would like to think that if all of those ancient men in military uniforms were to suddenly catch a particularly bad flu, this young man would be much more amiable to improving relations with SK and the USA. In our country, we say, Lead, Follow, or Get out of the Way. I think the oligarchy of military leaders who stand behind Kim Un are telling him, Pretend to lead, Follow our instructions, or die.I may well be wrong, however, I pity him.Respectfully,C.

I think you mean hereditary? Heraldry usually applies to the coat of arms on armor, banners and shields. Like the coat of arms for German cities. I have several mugs with the colors of Heidelberg, Koln, Munich, etc given me by my uncle who served in Germany in the late 50s.hope that helps.C

Kim Jon Un was educated in Switzerland so it isn’t like he has never been any where other than the homeland.

KIm does indeed have a significant education, and also exposure to “the western world”. North Korea is a tragedy, and still technically “at war”, as only a cease fire, never an armistice was ever signed. It gave the U.S. decades to spend trillions of dollars on “defense”, and gave us another enemy to “fear”, like what, Venezuela? Oh, wait, Chavez sells us oil!

ALL dictatorships have a history of bravado, especially marginally “communist” ones. What the U.S. SHOULD take as a warning is the threat of feudalism here at home, driven in part by that “military industrial complex”, and the tenth of one percent who control so much of our economy. It isn’t JUSt the wealth they hold, but the power to manipulate “things”, like Congress.

Not so secretly. We don’t have assets on the ground to show us exactly where, and bunker busters only do so much damage to hardened and deeply shielded sites. And their program appears to be spread out so that damage to one facility doesn’t halt the program. The computer virus developed under Bush and kept by Obama worked great until the bug escaped and we learned about Stux-Net.
