My dearest Susan, -I sometimes get the faint impression you don’t have the appreciation of those around Agnes that I do. -The fact that she’s still alive shows tremendous restraint on the part of every person who interacts with her. The fact that the teacher and principal haven’t opted out of the educational system causes us to wonder at their sanity but should also make us appreciate their dedication.-I love her but from a relatively safe distance on the other side of the monitor’s screen.

I don’t think the teacher hopes to change Agnes at this point. She just wants Agnes out of her hair for a while.
