Clayton: I dunno. Let me check. Hey, ma, can I go over to the Donnellans? Laura: Clayton, I told you I don't like to be called "Ma." Clayton: Why not? Laura: It sounds like I'm back on that TV show "The Waltons." Clayton: Never heard of it. Laura: It was this show about a large family growing up in the mountains. Clayton: What would happen on the shows? Laura; Well, there'd be a lot of visitors... And someone would be sick. And they'd make dinner together.

Wrong show, guys. Mother on The Waltons was “Mama”. You’re thinking of LHOTP…

Doctor Toon’s son is an AFOL like me!
Sorry to tell you this, but no true Lego fan says ‘Legos’. Try doing that at a convention, or type that on a Lego forum, and you will get corrected. Lego is the collective term, the singular term is ‘Lego brick’ or ‘Lego piece’. There are different terms for the types of Lego pieces as well.
I didn’t care for the Waltons either.
Now I have to get back to building.

Ma and Pa were the grandparents. Daddy and Mamma (Livy and John) were the middle generation. I’m pretty sure the men and boys never cooked dinner (unless there was an episode in which all the womenfolk were too sick).

Too bad they don’t have shows like that any more. I miss them. Thank God for DVD.
