Oh the waitress’ face, don’t remember her name but that look, I think she’s feeling guilty! She’s the one who must have snitched!

She caused a bit more trouble than she bargained for. She was trying to get back at Linda, but what she started will have consequences for a lot of people.

Careful what you do, innocent people can be wound into the string of investigation, and condemnation. That is what I see in her face. How come we haven’t seen the nasties go after Meg? I will bet that in the three months that Linda was kept apart from real life in Endtown that no one bothered to tell her what the unexplained rules were. She would not have broken rules. It was not in her personality. I think. Maude would have hushed her after the egg bath if she felt that it would be dangerous for either of them. Boo hiss. Blessed Be.

didn’t someone comment about if that was a mustache or overgrown nose hairs? think for the avatar picture, , like, I’ve been to websites that where photos people post and it seems they are small medium and large and Iu took an image and make sure it is s “small” size. I wouldn’t know the size of a MB anything, but that seemed to work for me.That prolly dein’t make much sense, I know.

I get the feeling that there is no “known law” about using mutant eggs and milk. Maurice responce was more lke "there must be a law’ and not “Of course there is a law”.

The rats had overreacted before and this might be just another case of overreaction.

Like I said all the hoopla over a cake?Sinister things are afoot my friends. A trial over a cake? When Al and Gustine came back there was no trial. Just Flask and Prof Mallard holding a three person meeting to determine if they should be put to death as traitors JUST for going around on the surface on a quest.The suspicion was they were seen in a PT coming back being chased by Topsiders. Dustcrawlers redirected Al to the ruins to keep Endtown entry location secure. Accusations flew that Al and Gustine had made a DEAL with Topsiders for some consideration (Topsiders may deal but I don’t think they would feel the need to keep promises to Mutants). Talk about ridiculous. This cake is the same thing, ridiculous. As with Al and Gustine a bigger story unfolded. Lets see about the cake.

Maurice said “unauthorized.” Does that mean one has to secure permission from someone to bake a cake in Endtown? Does that account for the response that came down on Linda, Maude, and Holly?

As always, the expressions on this strip beautifully show a wide range of emotions, including the inner turmoil Val is enduring on the last page. The emotional upset means that Val cares about others besides herself, which is a starting point on the road away from the hell of self-focus.

I tried a 2.4 mb file. Uniformed rats with machineguns ransacked my house and scared my dog. They told me not to let it happen again or they’d get tough.

Meg is already “in on it”…wouldn’t the PC Police pick her up, too?

mr.shermanread your post yesterday. Very good point and I can agree. I was trying to get things started about this issue. I guess I succeeded.Just would hate to be a food bearing person in Endtown. (If Mr. Pig died do we get ham and bacon if he willed his body.)When are they going to get chicken lady? (Although not directly involved should have gotten picked up like Holly)She apparently has NOT been picked up. (As far as can tell now)So just about food? Maybe.Wally was involved with the school but he could be more than just a structural engineer? We have not been told what type of engineer Wally was. (Maybe he ran trains)That is why this story is so great.I can visualize Armageddon over food and you see a Civil Rights movement.Interesting.

I’m guessing it isn’t illegal, the rats were just looking for something to do, and after all this property damage there are going to be several heads rodent knocked around.

I still say Jacob has got something to do with this. Or will. Have everyone arrested, then say, “What’s gong on here? We need to accept what we are and come to terms with it. These false arrests are only keeping us from a bean-free existance.” He could turn this against Mallard, who is taking too long.inventing an alternate food source. This could be a rebellion in the making.

So from what I have read in the postings there are more conspiracy theorists out there.Just cake………C’MON.

The Rats had a supply of beer maybe they had a supply of “herbage” and they need the cake because they had a grand case of the munchies.

If it’s against the law for people to use their own resources, imagine what would happen if the “searchers” report that there are no more beans to be found.

The cake is not a lie. It is the trigger. Something big is going to happen. Jailing does not fit there is no story. But seizing a loved one to force you to do something dangerous? Sounds real feasible.

Looks like Meg has a guilty conscience! As she should, she .has hurt 3 people and counting. Then she might also be a bit afraid of Wally when he gets angry.

Are you playing a game about End Town? Oh and I said Meg in the comment below this instead if Val. So is a real food shortage looming? Are all the beans about to expire? More of a food shortage with no other hope? But then mutants self-made food would help to solve the problem.

By the look on Val’s face, reality has put the bite on her. It’s fun playing the ‘mean girl’ and tell on Linda, but there are consequences that Val hadn’t reckoned on happening.
