The lyric is——But you’d look sweet on the seat. Of a bicycle built for two. I understand the change in the first line, but why change built to made? I remember as a boy in the 60’s, a place in Belmar, N. J. would rent out bikes like that during the summer months.
During the 60’s I made two of those bicycles built for two, one for my wife and Me and one for a neighbor and his wife. We rode them for hours at least once a week for a long time. A Popular Mechanics how to encyclopedia had the plans and I was a welder.

40 cents per hour to rent a bike – must be the 30s or 40s.

Look on the bright side, Jeff — now you’re breathing fresh air.

For Jeff, the scene never changes. Probably the air is not too fresh either.
