Goodmorning, Vagabonds. Having my laptop by my bed isn’t as convenient as I thought it would be: I have to bend down as my night table is lower than my desk. I may reconsider and move it back to where it was.

Morning, Village.Watched “The Alamo” last night, with Billy Bob Thornton as Crockett and Dennis Quaid as Sam Houston. Great movie. It humanized Crockett for a change and presented the alternate theory concerning his death.

    39 degrees this morning. Brrrr!

There is a young lady who takes me to the supermarket once a month on senior discount day, which is the first Wed.of the month. Last night we went to the drive-in window at Walgreen’s to pick up some meds. I got my wallet out to pay for them and since I was in the pickup, and carry my wallet in my front pocket, I didn’t try to put it back in my pocketbecause we were almost home. Got home about 7:15, Did not realize that my wallet was missing til a little after mid-night. Went down to see if I had dropped it when I gor out of the truck, (with low expectations). Left a massage on her cell phone to call me , let me know is it was in the truck, Lots of troubles if it wasn’t. She called a few minutes ago to let me know she had found the wallet.>>>>>>She used to be my house keeper, while she was going to the U of A. Then she got a real job. Her services were paid for by an outfit that has a grant from United Way. She takes me to the store voluntarily, because she knows I have no way to do it on my own, The omly other person who would go wiih me no longer lives here.>>>>>>About United Way: Last summer I was asked if I would mind having a video takem of me. I don’t rememberif he told me who it was for, though he probably did so. Then. as the holiday season approached, residents began telling me they saw my picture on bus stop advertisings. Then they were seeing me on TV, too. I finally saw me on TV a few times, haven’t seen a bus stop picture. So I guess I am one of United Way’s Poster Boys?

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Slim, I always knew you were famous!! BTW, from yesterday, I used to have the “Notebooks”, too but it got lost in one of my moves. I used to have ALL of Heinlein’s books but have since trimmed my collection down to a few favorites.

I tried a new “boxed dinner” last night, a Tuna Helper, Fettuccine Alfredo flavor. While the Alfredo sauce was good, adding the tuna just wasn’t right. The recipe called for 2 five ounce cans of tuna and it was just way too much. I usually like tuna dishes, but this was just plain bad. We ended up throwing most of it away (in a sealed bag), and my kitchen smells of old fish. A few more degrees and I will open up the doors and windows and air this place out! I actually think I will try it again without the tuna and add some Parmesan cheese. Maybe some grilled chicken strips on top…..

Tomorrow we are adding TV service to our internet package, so today the technician came and rewired the outside connection with newer technology in preparation for the TV feed. The upshot of that is that my internet speed is now almost twice as fast as it was and should stay that way any time we are not watching TV. World of Warcraft should be much better!

Alex: Christopher Lloyd is alive and well. (Apparently there were rumors of his death, but then there were rumors back in the sixties that Paul McCartney had died, too.)

David, I believe the scary part is as Alex said: On the internet, NOTHING ever really goes away.

    Good Morning, Everyone,

I am really late today! Another bad night, but I did get 8 hours of restless sleep. That carpal tunnel just burns all night long!

I checked out the web page you suggested, alexi, and it said that I had nothing flagged. That’s a good thing, huh?

Slim, thanks for your stories! I am always amazed at how you do so many things! And, then, you are a celebrity! Good for you!!!

Jan, I can hardly wait to open doors and windows! Lucky you!
